Satellite Blocker - GPS Jammer

GPS is a system that enables you to locate the current position on the globe, with the accuracy of a few meters. This can be done with a simple handheld GPS unit, costing as low as a few hundred dollars. The GPS is a satellite based system, and thus the signal is available all round the globe, needless to say round the time. The free availability of the signal and its accuracy has made the security of sensitive locations and projects a big issue. There are two basic types of Satellite Blocker - GPS Jammers. One blocks the signals, and the other disturbs it, so it is useless. Blocking the GPS signal is not as easy as blocking a radio signal by creating some interference in the desired field.

These kind of instruments are basically developed for the militaries. They enable the forces to secure the developments. There are GPS guided missiles used in the warfare now a day. If the Satellite Blocker - GPS Jammer has been installed in a facility, any such missile would not be able to locate the facility. This is the biggest advantage of this kind of system. The militaries keep their security in good shape by keeping the attacks away. The use of such devices in the public sector has not been seen widely. Some of these devices also block cell phone signals. It is also important to the security of the establishments. The cell phones can transmit data, images and conversations about sensitive matters. The use of these blocking devices has been made compulsory by the advent of the technology and its destructive usage the terrorists.
