Bullet Proof Vests / Lady Shield / Concealable

The bullet proof vests can be defined as the items of clothing that helps protect the users against the fired bullets and it is commonly worn on the torso. These bullet proof vests are also called as the bullet resistant vests or ballistic vests. Most of the vests are designed to withstand heavy impacts that are produced as a result of the fired projectiles from the firearms and shrapnel from the explosions and blasts. These vests are nowadays designed for both men and women. The specific name given to the ballistic vest for women is Lady Shield and they are usually designed to be concealable.

Applications

The soft bullet proof vests are made up of several layers of protective fibers which are competent enough to guard the life of the wearer from bullets from the small caliber handguns and shotguns. It can also protect the wearer from the fragmentation from the explosives like grenades. The concealable lady shield can be vests that can also contain ceramic or metal plates which may offer supplementary protection from bullets from rifles. On the other hand, the ballistic vests with tight layers of fiber can offer protection against the stabs and cuts from knives.

The soft bullet proof vests are usually worn by individuals in police force, some citizens, and personal security bodyguards for protection. On the other hand, bullet proof vests are usually worn by combat soldiers and tactical units of police force. The ballistic vests are classified in to two types based on where they are worn in the body. The first type is the military carriers which are worn over the shirt and the second one is the concealable carriers which are to be worn under the shirt. The second type of vests is more suitable for lady shield.

In the recent years, the technology used for the production of the bullet proof vests and concealable lady shield have been improved comprehensively. This improvement is a result of the production of more and more advanced rifles and guns which can pierce through the armors.
